Who needs a hug? ALL of us! You may welcome hugs, but do you know what is actually happening in your body when you hug someone? When we hug another human being, oxytocin (a “feel good,” “feel safe,” “feel connected,” etc. hormone) is released into our bodies. Oxytocin reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, lowers heart rate and so much more. Do yourself and your spouse a favor and hug…a lot.
